with Suzanne Dater
Thursday, August 24, 1:00-2:30 pm
Tour Greece and Bulgaria to search for spectacular, rare birds in their natural habitats with Suzanne Dater as your expert guide. See spotted nutcrackers squaring off on Vitosha Mountain in Sofia, Bulgaria. Then on to the volcanic landscapes of the Rhodope Mountains—some of the best landscapes in Europe for finding birds of prey. View griffon vultures feeding in numbers. Continue onward to northern Greece to view stunning Dalmatian pelicans—the largest flying land birds in the world—animating Lake Kerkini and the sky above. Enjoy Suzanne’s stunning photos of these and many other birds from a photo safari tour she took in January 2020.
