CANCELLED: A Photographer's Eye: A Lifetime of Pleasure
Thursday, November 10, 1-2:30 pm
Local resident Harry Pfohl will share his life experiences, love of nature, and world travels through his rich collection of photographs. Harry doesn't take a photograph--he makes it. As a photographer, his desire is not to record but to capture a feeling. His photographs convey the excitement of the "child within" that he has never lost. For Harry, the image on film or in digital is only the starting point. He usually needs to do much additional work to achieve the desired end.
Harry's love of photography has taken him to 17 countries: Ireland, England, Scotland, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Latvia, Finland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Malta, and China. Harry comes from a small town of 30 people in Wisconsin. His interest in photography started at the age of 10. Harry was hooked after his mother gave him a $2 Kodak camera.
