Kennedy Center Docent Tour with Optional Lunch
Here is your chance to get an up-close-and-personal tour of the Kennedy Center. Kennedy Center volunteer, Roberta Gluck, will give us an in-person guided tour. The Kennedy Center is one of the premier art institutions in the country and has a fascinating array of performance spaces. In addition, its soaring architecture by the Potomac River offers stunning views. Afterward you can take a self-guided tour of the newest edition to the Kennedy Center, the REACH, which has art installations open to the public. There is also a new permanent exhibition at the Kennedy Center that explores John F. Kennedy's presidency and commitment to the arts, called "Art and Ideals." It opened in September of 2022 and is an optional self-guided tour.
Option: Purchase lunch in the cafeteria (you could bring some of your own food) or at Tazza at the nearby Watergate. If you are in a carpool, please defer to the driver's preference.
