The Scientific Revolution: From Renaissance to Newton

with Robert "Bob" Maddox

6 Sessions, Wednesdays, 10-10:50 am

4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24

Join in lively discussions about great scientists and inventors of the Renaissance who transformed the scientific and mechanical worlds. These great thinkers include Isaac Newton, Nicolaus Copernicus, Galileo, and many others. Each session will last 50 minutes. Bob Maddox will lead 6 sessions that he developed around an award-winning book, entitled The Story of Science: Newton at the Center, written by renowned local author Joy Hakim. Hakim, who is a friend of Bob's, will be introduced at one of the sessions.

Bob has authored several books of his own. In addition to serving in the Carter Administration, he is an ordained minister and the founder of the Briggs Center for Faith and Action. Bob is also a longtime member of Little Falls Village.
