Donations

Membership dues cover only one-third of our operating expenses. Donations from individuals – members, volunteers, and friends – enable Little Falls Village to continue to provide services and programs for all our neighbors who wish to age in place and to remain independent, active, and connected members of the community. Donations in any amount are gratefully accepted!

Your donation to the Village supports:

Educational and social programs for Village members and the wider community
Community outreach for members and volunteers
Financial assistance to lower the cost of membership for qualified individuals
Back-office expenses such as insurance, bookkeeping, supplies, and on-line services

Charitable IRA Rollover

The Pension Protection Act allows individual retirement account (IRA) owners age 70 1/2 or older to donate all or a portion of their IRA, up to $100,000 annually.

NOTE - The transfer must be made directly from the IRA to Little Falls Village through your IRA administrator or you may write a check payable to Little Falls Village from your IRA checkbook.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

A donor advised fund is a type of charitable investment account that provides an immediate tax benefit to you and allows you to recommend grants to charities of your choice over time. Granting to Little Falls Village through your donor advised fund is easy. Simply contact your financial institution or foundation and recommend a grant to Little Falls Village.

Appreciated Securities – Stock Donation

One of the most advantageous ways to contribute to Little Falls Village is through a gift of stock.
Gifting stock is simple and offers valuable financial benefits:
• You can donate appreciated stocks
• The total value of the stock upon transfer is tax-deductible
• There is no obligation to pay any capital gains taxes on the appreciation

Vehicle Donations

Yes, you can now gift a vehicle to Little Falls Village. Donate any vehicle – car, van, truck, motorcycle, boat with a trailer, recreational vehicle, or even an airplane! It shouldn’t surprise us in the village movement that an aging vehicle still has a lot to give.

Legacy Donations

A legacy gift is a planned bequest of any amount that supports a charitable organization after your death. As part of your overall financial and estate planning, a legacy gift provides an opportunity to support an organization that is meaningful to you, and at the same time to preserve and enjoy assets you might need during your lifetime.
