The Story of Science:
Einstein Adds a New Dimension
with Robert "Bob" Maddox
Wednesdays, 10 am - 11 am
Six Sessions:
9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25
Join in lively discussions! Attend one or more sessions! Look over Albert Einstein's shoulder as he and his colleagues develop a new kind of physics. It leads in two directions: to knowledge of the vast universe and its future (insights build on Einstein's theories of relativity), and to an understanding of the astonishingly small subatomic world (the realm of quantum physics). Learn why relativity and quantum theory revolutionized our world and led to the most important ideas in modern science, maybe of all time.
Bob Maddox developed these sessions around an award-winning book, entitled The Story of Science: Einstein Adds a New Dimension, written by renowned local author Joy Hakim. Bob has authored several books of his own. In addition to serving in the Carter Administration, he is an ordained minister and the founder of the Briggs Center for Faith and Action. Bob is also a longtime member of Little Falls Village.
