Monday, April 25 Outing: Anacostia Boat Tour.
Join us on a guided pontoon boat tour of the Anacostia River with members of the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS). The boat departs dock at 1:00 pm and returns at 3:00 pm. Learn about the river’s history, culture, ecology, development, and challenges of the Anacostia River, and the work AWS is doing to restore and protect the Anacostia River and its watershed communities. The 2-hour pontoon boat tour will travel along the river’s main stream from Maryland into D.C. We will be joined by two staff from AWS.
TRANSPORTATION: Carpools to the Bladensburg Waterfront, located at 4601 Annapolis Road, Bladensburg. Rides arranged for members only. Contact the LFV office if you need a ride.
