Richard Harris
brings a rich background in television, radio, and print journalism, accumulated over the past four decades. Some of his most distinguished accomplishments include an 18-year stint as Senior Producer with Ted Koppel at “ABC News Nightline”, from which Koppel’s interviews led to Mitch Albom’s best-selling book
Tuesdays with Morrie
. Richard Harris also produced many of Koppel’s big interviews of the past 30 years, including Nelson Mandela after his release from prison, Gary Hart’s first interview after his relationship with Donna Rice was revealed and Oliver North following the Iran-Contra affair. Mr. Harris was also Senior Producer of the PBS documentary “Guns in America” following the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Richard Harris is the recipient of 14 Emmys for News and Documentaries, a George Foster Peabody award, and the Columbia-DuPont award from the Columbia School of Journalism.
